Delete it here, right now
Sign in with the account you use in UrgeLock, whichever one that is, and delete it from this page. Nothing is removed until you confirm, and you will be shown which account you are about to delete before anything happens.
We use your sign in only to prove the account is yours. It is the one thing an email cannot prove on its own.
A Google window will open. If nothing appears when you press the button, your browser has blocked it: allow popups for urgelock.app and press it again. On some phones the window opens behind this page.
This deletes the account above, its encrypted backup, and its community posts, replies, reactions, chat messages and handle. It does not cancel a subscription, and it does not reach the data on your phone. Both are explained below.
This step exists so the button below cannot be pressed by accident.
Deleting your account.
This takes a few seconds. Please do not close this tab.
Your account is deleted.
Your account, your encrypted backup, your community content and your handle are gone from our servers, and you have been signed out of this page. Two things are still yours to do: delete the app from your phone to remove the data stored there, and cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play if you had one.
Other ways to delete it
From inside the app. Open UrgeLock, go to Profile, and choose Delete Account. This removes your account and community data from our servers and clears the data stored on your device in one step.
If you no longer have the app installed. Email us at support@urgelock.app from the address you signed in with. That address is what proves the account is yours, so we cannot action a request sent from a different one. If you used the community you may add your handle to help us find you faster, but a handle alone is never enough on its own: handles are visible to everyone on the wall, so anyone could name yours. Every request of this kind is read by a person and none of it is automated. We will action your request within 30 days.
If you never signed in. Signing in is optional in UrgeLock. Without it there is no address or sign-in that can prove an account is yours, so neither this page nor email can delete it. Use Delete Account inside the app before you uninstall. If you never signed in, no backup of your data exists on our servers.
What gets removed
When your account is deleted, we remove from our servers:
- Your UrgeLock account and its sign-in link to Google or Apple (your Google or Apple account itself is not affected);
- Your encrypted backup and all its saved versions;
- Your community posts, replies, reactions and live chat messages, and the reports you filed;
- Your pseudonymous community handle;
- Your live chat presence and the server-side identity tied to your community activity.
What is on your device
Your recovery data is also stored on your phone: your streak and pledges, your urge log and journal notes, your achievements, and your conversation history with the AI guide (Locky). Deleting your account from inside the app clears it in the same step. If you delete from this page or by email, we cannot reach your phone, so delete the UrgeLock app from your device, which removes this data with it.
Subscriptions
If you have a paid subscription, it is billed and managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by UrgeLock. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription and does not trigger a refund. To stop being billed, cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by the store you purchased through.
